Salt Lake City Attractions: Where Should You Go On Your Visit?

Salt Lake City Attractions

My husband and I made a resolution this year for the first time ever. We’ve decided to travel to two new destinations per year for the next five years, in an attempt to see more of the United States and the world. The first place on our list is Salt Lake City.

After doing a little research, I determined that there are a few “must see” attractions in the area. Read on to learn more.

1. Liberty Park

We love being outside, so it makes sense to pay a visit to Liberty Park. This is the biggest public park in the area, and throughout the 80 acres visitors will find an aviary, a pond, a sports arena, and a pool. Tracy Aviary was actually one of the first aviaries established in the world.

2. Rio Tinto Stadium

Rio Tinto is a soccer stadium, conveniently located less than 20 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. In addition to the game, the stadium also hosts the Carnival Real two hours before every game. There’s music, giveaways and activities included.

3. Temple Square

Even if you aren’t Mormon, it’s worth it to check out Temple Square. This ten acre area contains the Mormon Temple, the Temple Annex, the Mormon Tabernacle and the Assembly Hall.
