I live in New York City and my girlfriend lives in Salt Lake City. We have been in a long distance relationship for the past two and a half years and it is time for one of us to make the move. She says that she cannot move here because it is far too busy for her liking, but I really cannot see myself moving there. I feel like she has been watching too much television and she believes that all parts of the city are as busy as downtown Manhattan. She has never taken the time to visit, so she has no idea what it is actually like.
I am not about to move to her city without having her coming here to see what this city has to offer. I told her that I will consider a move, but only if she really doesn’t like it and I am sure that she is not just saying that in order to have things go her way. If I feel that she is being dishonest, not only will I refuse to move, but it will make me think twice about continuing with the relationship.
