I consider myself a foodie and I make it a point to learn random facts all of the time. One day while I was looking through a website I frequent, I saw something about Salt Lake City having some of the best sushi in the West. This is strange to me since sushi is the last thing that comes to mind when I think of the state of Utah. I am not sure what I thought their local specialties consisted of, but I do know that I was not expecting raw fish delights to be at the top of the list.
I called a friend of mine who lives there and she said that she has awesome sushi on a regular basis. The place that she goes to the most has fresh fish flown in daily. I guess that means everything she has there is super fresh. I am supposed to go and visit her this year for her 50th birthday. I think I will take her out for sushi in order to celebrate. Not only will she feel appreciated, but I will have the opportunity to see how sushi there measures up to what I am used to.
